HimaCAS

Piso Para sa Taga-CAS

Is a transparent donation box to be placed at the Quezon Hall wherein it is visible to all CAS students and they can drop a ‘piso coin’ whenever they pass by. This platform aims to help every CASimanwa’s when there are unfortunate events such as typhoons, fire accidents, and other natural calamities. There are also posters beside the donation box that will let the students know where the money will go and who are the beneficiaries of this platform. Donating a ‘piso coin’ is not mandatory but everyone is highly encouraged to give when they have an extra amount of money because piso is powerful enough to make a change and give hope to different unfortunate events in life. However, this donation drive is not limited to a peso coin but one can donate any amount higher than a ‘piso coin’.

Transparency report will be provided after the end of the week. Moreover, when unfortunate events strike, a transparency report will also be provided after opening and counting how much money there is in the donation box. Printed copies of the report as well as pubmats will be posted in the ASSC Facebook page to show transparency.

Make Safety YOUR Priority Always in all Ways

Is a series of seminars or symposiums to be conducted at West Visayas State University that is not only limited to one topic regarding safety but it involves different topics in different times making it a diverse discussion. This platform aims to help our CASimanwa’s to practice safety at all times in different fields. In addition, this also aims to create a culture where each and every CAS student takes full responsibility for their own health, safety, and well-being as well as that of others. This will be divided into three parts:

First, it will focus on the discussion about sex education and how to practice safe sex. STD’s, HIV’s, and AIDS are the diseases that we can get if we are not engaging in safe sex.

Second, it will focus on the discussion about first aid and basic first aid tools. It is important for our CASimanwa’s to know the different basic first aid methods.

Third, it will focus on the discussion about different drills in times of emergency such as fire drills and earthquake drills.
