Platforms under PROJECT TECHNOVATION:

AMBOT
This is a chatbot thats aims to automatically respond to University and WVSU CAT-related questions to make information accessible for everyone anytime and anywhere. This chatbot can answer questions such as how to process a certain document in the registrar. This innovation can also cater questions regarding the WVSU CAT such as requirements for WVSU CAT Applications. We acknowledge the struggles of those who are new in the institution and aspirants of West Visayas State University especially when these information are not accessible due to some circumstances. This innovative idea aims to fill this gap in oder to make information accessible with ease and convenience for Taga-Wests and those who aspire to be.

E-Check Attendance
A lot of students find it very inconvenient to list their names during attendance whenever there will be a university or college event. E-Check Attendance aims to create an intensified attendance system for all college student councils through mobilization of student barcodes for fast and easy checking of attendance. Instead of manually writing your name in a piece of paper, the utilization of scanners to scan the student barcodes to list the attendance will help the college student councils save time and paper as we will be using innovative approach through the use of technology instead of using traditional approach to checking of attendance which takes time and hassle.

Techno Summit
This aims to establish technology-related seminar/workshops such as basic digital portfolio building or graphic designing. Although these topics is mainly focused for students in CICT, it is now the time that we open this to every taga-West students who have interest in these fields because we are now living in the 21st century and these workshops could help a lot of Taga-West develop skills that are pivotal in this digital generation where in digital literacy is a must. By having this, it could open up so many opportunities for Taga-West before and after they graduate because they could develop life-longs skills that they can use someday because technology-related skills is very in demand nowadays.

Testimonials

Jolyn Tiaño

Student, BA Journalism

I have known Allyn since we were both in high school, and I have witnessed his excellent leadership as he became a consistent SSG officer. Throughout those years, I've seen how capable he is as a leader. You will admire him not only for his outgoing personality and social skills, but also for his leadership's zeal and commitment. His efforts in processing the papers, traveling back and forth to the division office, and spearheaded activities and programs that undoubtedly made our high school life remarkable. Today, even though we are now in different departments, I saw him shine as a leader even then. We’ve seen how grand the CICT’s activities and programs have become since he became president. His leadership skills transformed the College of ICT. While looking at him from afar, I am extremely proud that the Allyn I've known since high school is still the same, yet marked another history in college. I know and believe that he’s born to be a leader.

Mi Herzelle Siason

Chairperson, Education Student Council

Allyn Navarra is reliable as a friend, a characteristic which he also possesses as a student leader. They say "a good leader needs to be reliable in order to be trusted by your constituents", then I guess being dependable is in his nature. Moreover, he is genuine with his intentions and does not use dirty games to trick people. Also, his inputs and ideas are explicitly aimed for the betterment of the students. Lastly, his leadership style leans toward a more friendly environment. He is considerate and is humane in nature which provokes a more healthy space to work on.

Netanya Gwyneth Catubuan

Chairperson, ASSC Student Council

When I met this charismatic, out-going and competent young leader, the synergy was undeniable. Even if our personalities do not coincide, Allyn is the type of person who knows how to socialize in a manner that makes you feel y and important. He is a “people” person, the type nga hapos palapitan kag open mamati sa mga concern mo, perfect for the position he aspires, USC Councilor. Allyn has been the CICT Chairperson this past year and I’m sure nga nakita ta kung ano ang effort kag passion na pour out ya for his CICTizens, unmatched gd ang iya desire to deliver quality and student-centered events. I remember our conversations about his obstacles, our constant and consistent partnerships and his aspirations as a leader in his College. Allyn is for students, his experience being a leader sa West is enough to prove that he is worthy of your vote. More than a leader to me, he has been a wonderful friend: God-fearing, Transparent, Level-headed and Honest. Sa times nga ga fall short sya kabalo sya mag take accountability-something that a lot of people I know in leadership are not capable of-he can do anything without fail. He works without bias and prejudice, carrying out tasks effectively and professionally-wala siya pili kunh sino updon ya. Allyn is a cheerful worker and you will never hear about him ghosting work that was delegated to him or not cooperating with his peers. To be perfectly clear, He is everything you need in a leader and He will deliver all that you deserve as a public servant. Allyn Navarra is my USC Councilor, embodying a new generation of passionate, humble, competent and fair leadership. He should definitely be your vote this election.
